Maku Presents Score Card

The Federal Ministry of Information has developed a strategic communication plan that has reinforced confidence in governance particularly in the wake of recent security challenges in some parts of the country. The Minister of Information Labaran Maku said this at the 2013 Ministerial Platform in Abuja.

The strategy which includes peace building and crisis communication assisted the Military to excel in their task of protecting the country while flushing out insurgents.

Other initiatives undertaken by the Ministry to engage the public are the National Good Governance Tour which promotes an on the spot assessment of projects and the Ministerial Platform designed to improve on the quality of Governance.

Parastatals under the Ministry have also been empowered to carry out their statutory mandates.

The 2013 Ministerial Platform reconvenes in two weeks.
