The Federal Government has released all outstanding Revenues accrued to the states from the Federation and Excess Crude Accounts. The money has since been released to all States including arrears, following the intervention of the new Chairman of the Nigeria’s Governors Forum, Governor David Jonah Jang of Plateau State who set up a committee to engage the Federal Government on the Federation Account Allocation Committee issues.
The Director General of the Nigeria Governors Forum, Earl Osaro Onaiwu who stated this in a press statement says the Federal Government after reviewing the presentation of the committee, sets up a NGF ON FAAC Presidential Committee chaired by Governor Isa Yuguda with members including Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala who resolved some of the issues which led to the immediate released of the outstanding money.
Governor Jonah Jang says the Forum will work towards fostering improved relationship with the Federal Government for the common interest of Nigerians.
