Conference on Disaster Risk Prediction

Views from the Frontline Conference which was organized by the African Youth Movement is supported by the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA and other National and International Agencies. Mr. Otu Uwem President African Youth Movement said the rural populace are the most vulnerable to disaster management. He therefore called on stakeholders to act before a disaster occurs.
Other Stakeholders at the conference emphasized the need to build people’s capacity for resilience and called for synergy among development partners. Views from the Frontline 2013 is a study programme that collects and shares views on disaster reduction.The results are expected to be part of a submission to the Global Platform for Disaster Reduction in Geneva.
