First Lady Encourages Job Creation for Women

When recently Nigeria`s First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan flagged off the tree planting, street beautification and cleaning exercise in Abuja, she went an extra mile to advocate for the consideration of unemployed women who could be engaged for the exercise. With the collaboration of her NGO the women for Change and development initiative, 700 women were employed for the project. In this report state house correspondent Makut Simon Macham examines the impact this initiative is having on them.
