The members made the call after an inspection of one camp. The House Committee was received at the Yipata camp by the Kwara State NYSC coordinator Ngozi Ezekwe. She took the Committee round the corps members hostels that are urgently in need of renovation. The Committee had time to traverse the ample grounds at the orientation camp and agree that it’s security had to be beefed up.

The State Coordinator appealed for an increase in the 100 per meal, currently allocated for each corp member. The Committee Chairman, Mudashiru Akinlabi assured that the issues raised would be looked into. The Committee later narrated it’s findings to Kwara State Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed who promised to assist with the provision of a perimeter fence at the camp. He stated that his administration is committed to upgrading the status of the Yikpata NYSC orientation camp to a permanent one.
