FG Pledges Support to Kanu Heart Foundation

The Minister of Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu has pledged Federal Government support towards the realization of the proposed cardiac centre by the Kanu heart foundation. This was when he met with the team from the foundation led by the coordinator, Pastor Onyebuchi Abia who briefed the Minister on the scheduled foundation’s N5 billion appeal fund for the construction of the proposed cardiac specialist hospital to be situated in Abuja.
The project he says was born out of the need to fill the gap in the health sector where treatment of heart related surgeries are concerned. Four hundred and twenty five children are said to have benefitted from free open heart surgeries in hospitals across the world courtesy of the Kanu heart foundation which was established in 2000.
